How Prylan handles information.

This policy describes the limited information Prylan may receive when readers visit the site or contact the editorial desk.

Respect for readers is part of responsible publishing.

Information we receive

When you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, and the contents of your message. Standard hosting logs may include an IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access.

We collect only information supplied by a reader or generated as part of ordinary site delivery. A contact form may also record the submission time and an error status so the desk can identify delivery problems. We do not intentionally request sensitive health, biometric, financial, identity-document, or precise location data.

The site may receive information from hosting, security, or mail-delivery providers, such as a technical identifier or delivery status. Those providers act on instructions connected with operating the site and are not authorized to use correspondence for unrelated advertising. Please do not include more personal detail than is needed to explain an editorial question.

How we use it

We use contact information to respond to enquiries, assess corrections, and maintain correspondence. We use technical logs for security, service reliability, and aggregate understanding of site performance. We do not sell personal information.

The legal basis depends on the context: responding to a request is necessary to take steps at the reader's request; maintaining security reflects a legitimate operational interest; and any optional measurement is used only where permitted and appropriately disclosed. We may also process information to comply with a lawful request or protect the site from abuse.

We do not use contact messages to make decisions about a reader or to build a profile of reading interests. If a message includes a correction, the editorial team may retain the relevant factual context while removing unnecessary personal details. Aggregated statistics are designed not to identify an individual.

Retention and sharing

We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was sent. We may share information with service providers who help host or secure the site, under appropriate confidentiality obligations, or where required by Indonesian law.

Routine contact correspondence is normally deleted within twelve months after the last meaningful exchange. A correction record may be retained for up to three years when needed to document an editorial change, while security logs are generally retained for up to ninety days unless an incident requires longer preservation.

Current service categories may include a hosting provider, a security or abuse-prevention provider, and an email delivery provider. Providers may process data outside Indonesia, including in other jurisdictions where their infrastructure operates. Prylan uses contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited nature of the information.

Your choices

You may ask what personal information we hold, request correction, or ask us to delete correspondence where no legal or operational reason requires retention.

Requests can be sent to Jalan Sudirman No. 23, Karet Semanggi, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta 12922, Indonesia, or +62 21 784 5932. We aim to acknowledge a privacy request within five business days and respond within thirty calendar days, subject to identity and scope checks. We may ask for enough information to locate a message, but we will not request unnecessary identity documents.

You may also object to optional measurement, withdraw a preference, or ask for a portable copy where applicable. Indonesian privacy requirements, including Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection, may provide additional rights depending on the circumstances. Complaints may first be raised with Prylan, without limiting any right to contact the relevant Indonesian authority.

Changes

This policy is effective 5 October 2026. Material changes will be shown on this page with a new date and a short description of what changed; the previous version will not be silently represented as current.

Use, retention, and reader choices

Prylan uses contact information to respond to a question, maintain the security of the site, understand delivery errors, and meet ordinary accountability obligations. The usual legal bases are performance of a requested communication, legitimate interest in operating a secure publication, and consent where a reader has actively chosen an optional preference. Information is not sold, rented, or used to infer sensitive characteristics from reading activity.

Contact correspondence is normally retained for up to twenty-four months after the last meaningful exchange, while basic security logs may be retained for up to ninety days unless a longer period is reasonably needed to investigate abuse or comply with law. Editorial records that explain a correction or rights request may be kept for up to seven years in a restricted archive. These periods are reviewed for necessity and securely deleted or anonymised when they expire.

Operational providers may include the site host, a form-delivery or email provider, a security service, and a privacy-conscious analytics provider if enabled. Such providers receive only the information needed for their documented role, are expected to apply appropriate safeguards, and may process data outside Indonesia under contractual or equivalent transfer protections. Prylan does not authorise those providers to reuse correspondence for unrelated advertising.

Depending on applicable law, a reader may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. Send a request to the contact details on this page and explain the right being exercised; we may ask for proportionate verification to prevent disclosure to the wrong person. We aim to acknowledge requests within five business days and respond within thirty calendar days, subject to lawful extensions or exemptions.

Concerns may first be raised with Prylan at Jalan Sudirman No. 23, Karet Semanggi, Jakarta Selatan, DKI Jakarta 12922, Indonesia, or by telephone at +62 21 784 5932. A concern about Indonesian personal-data handling may also be taken to the competent authority where the reader is located. This policy was reviewed on 5 October 2026 and will be reconsidered after a material service, legal, or processing change.
